Drive to Antsirabe "the Malagasy Vichy". Crossing the highlands decorated by traditional houses on red brick.
Stop at Ambatolampy to visit a small foundry of aluminium pots.
Arrival at Antsirabe during the afternoon.
Lodging on half board basis at Hôtel des Thermes (3*NN).
D3: Antsirabe - Ranomafana:
Drive to Ranomafana in the morning. Long stage with stopping at Ambositra, the capital of the Malagasy handicrafts. Discovery of the Zafimaniry woodcarvers works : sculpture on precious wood and marquetry. Arrival at Ranomafana in the end of the day.
Accommodation on half board basis at Setam Lodge (a very nice lodge).
D4: Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa:
Visit of the national park of Ranomafana, this rainforest shelters many species of fauna and flora (lemurs, birds, many waterfalls, ferns...)
Continuation for Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo people after the visit.
Accommodation on half board basis at Tsara Guest Lodge (a very nice lodge).
D5: Fianarantsoa - Ranohira:
Departure for Ranohira passing by Ambalavao.
Visit of the Antemoro paper manufactory (paper raised of flowers).
Entry into the universe of the Malagasy south landscape.
Accommodation on half board basis at Le Relais de la Reine hotel (3*NN).
D6: Ranohira (Isalo):
Visit of the Isalo massif all day. Trekking into this national park: possibility to discover the
fauna and flora adapted to the rocky landscape, a natural pool.
Back to the hotel in the end of the day.

Drive to Tuléar.
Passage to Ilakaka, the village of the sapphire diggers.
The first baobabs and Mahafaly tombs decorate the way.

D8: Tuléar - Anakao:
Transfer by motorboat for Anakao, the village of the Vezo fishermen.
